I am following up with a letter I sent April 15. I never heard back from you …
I want to assure you that my original offer to serve as the Red Sox’s motivational speaker still stands. In case you may have skimmed over this part – this is a pro bono job. While you may still be reeling after the impressive 11 game winning streak earlier this month, know that I have moved on. So has the rest of the Nation.
And after last night’s blowout loss to the Ray’s, it is evident that my services are still very much in need. For awhile there I assumed you either got stuck in baggage claim or the entire team was quarantined at the airport – because no one showed up for the game. Perhaps you were all watching the Celtics playing in triple overtime? I understand that we aren’t going to go undefeated for the entire season. I get that. But how about at least trying?
Tito, please know that there is no shame in admitting you need help. That is what I am here for. You can call me anytime. Really, call me.
P.S. Please forward my contact information to Josh Beckett. He really needs me.
P.P.S. My motives are entirely professional and honorable.
P.P.P.S. Tell Josh I love him.
